University of New Orleans MBA Program

Master of Business Adminstration Graduate Assistantship Opportunity

The Trade Capacity Building Institute (TCB Institute) and University of New Orleans (UNO), College of Business Administration (COBA) are pleased to announce 5 (five) funded graduate assistantship opportunities for UNO’s MBA program beginning Spring 2006. We thank the Louisiana State 8-G program for providing this important funding.

PLEASE NOTE: The DEADLINE for consideration of qualified candidates for receiving the assistantship award is October 1, 2005.  Applications received after October 1st will not be considered for funding, although they may be considered for general admission.

This program is ONLY for qualified applicants who are citizens of Costa Rica , Dominican Republic , El Salvador , Guatemala , Honduras , and Nicaragua whose course of study is focused on Trade Capacity Building (TCB) and International Trade.  Applicants must be willing to return to their home country for a period of no less than two years working for a government, private sector or non-profit organization dedicated to building trade capacity in their country.

PLEASE NOTE:  All applicants with a complete application will be submitted for consideration for admission to UNO’s MBA program for Spring 2006 whether or not they are awarded a graduate assistantship. 

This is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to receive advanced training in business and apply their skills to build the capacity for trade in their home country.
